Jose Mourinho hinted some of his senior players should be learning from Manchester United youngster Scott McTominay following Saturday’s draw against Leicester.
Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial were all guilty of costly misses before Harry Maguire bundled home a late equaliser, capitalising on the confusion in United’s defence which spread once Chris Smalling had been brought back moments after receiving treatment for a groin injury
Mourinho said his side had been guilty of ‘joke’ misses and claimed some players had been making errors for too long, before suggesting McTominay, who has made only two Premier League appearances this season, was setting the example others should follow.
-Scott McTominay still has a lot to learn. He was a kid that last year who was playing with kids, but no childish decisions at all. ‘Some other guys have childish decisions make for many years, Mourinho said.
