Despite earlier reports linking him with a return to AFC Leopards, Humphrey Mieno is close to sealing a move to champions Gor Mahia days after parting ways with Tusker FC.
Leopards was reportedly interested in signing the former Azam and Sofapaka man who left the Den for Tusker in 2015 owing to financial problems that had crippled the club then.
Gor were interested in signing the lanky midfielder in June 2016 but were put off by Tusker's exorbitant demands. They will finally land their man this window after he was released by Tusker as part of their rebuilding process after a disastrous 2017 Kenyan Premier League campaign.
Finally Mieno
-Mieno is heading to Gor Mahia. A number of clubs including two of his former sides were interested in him but he has chosen Gor, a source from Gor's camp told Futaa.com.
Another ex Tusker midfielder Cersidy Okeyo Lumumba is also on Gor's radar.
