Jose Mourinho reportedly has no interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo after Manchester United complete a transfer move for Alexis Sanchez this January.
Arsenal star Sanchez, is set to complete a move to Old Trafford imminently, with 28-year-old Henrikh Mkhitaryan expected to travel to north London in exchange for the Chilean attacker. It’s understood the Red Devils will pay around £35 million for Sanchez and the ex-Barcelona forward will be handed the No.7 shirt once a deal is confirmed.
Spanish outlet Marca suggests United had ‘reserved’ the shirt number for Real Madrid icon Ronaldo the legendary 32-year-old has consistently been linked with a return to the club in recent seasons. It’s claimed, though, Sanchez’s arrival will put an end to United’s plans to re-sign Ronaldo and Mourinho has no intention of landing the Portugal superstar.
